Our team has worked on a wide variety of projects with entities at all levels of the health and human services delivery system. We take great pride in our ability to work with states, managed care organizations, county governments, and providers; understanding their various priorities and how the various levels work together to make up a comprehensive service delivery system.

This is just a small sampling of our recent projects:

• We currently work with a hospital-operated managed care plan to address their information technology security concerns, improve policies and procedures and fully address issues of risk in their IT operations
• In 2022, we assisted a state department of mental health and addiction services to complete a landscape analysis for behavioral health crisis services in the state, including facilitating discussions with a large group of stakeholders and data collection across the entire state
• In 2021, we assisted a psychiatric residential treatment facility to plan strategically for changes in their payer and partner environment to advance key priorities and manage challenging operations post-COVID
• In 2021, we assisted a state Department of Health in the requirements gathering process for its new website and communications platform to better assist recipients of health and human services in the state
• In 2020, we helped a state Medicaid agency review its managed care plans for compliance with the federal and state mental health and substance abuse parity acts.
• In 2020, we helped a local behavioral health authority determine the most advantageous approach to maximize services for a mental health crisis center.
• We helped multiple state behavioral health agencies define requirements, acquire and implement the right information technology for their needs – these were all multi-year projects that brought significant benefit to state delivery systems through improved data collection, revenue generation and accountability for the delivery of care
• We conducted an analysis of a state’s Children’s Health Improvement Program for compliance with mental health and addiction treatment parity requirements that required significant skill and expertise to address each element of the law following guidance from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
• We helped county behavioral health boards assist their providers through significant changes in their state service delivery systems, assisting organizations that saw significantly less disruption to their operations than many others in their market
• We helped a behavioral health clinic optimize how it uses its electronic health record, resulting in better patient care and increased revenue
• We helped an information technology company to understand the needs of behavioral health providers, resulting in better products for the entire behavioral health provider community
